Kaaba

Here is a post where in my daughter came from school yelling and saying "i made Kaaba"... She was so happy doing it, we did make it previously but i dont have the pictures for them.
She made this Kaaba at her school when there was a mini Hajj event at her school, Mashallah.

The one i made, i used:
1 or 2 Black construction paper.
Glue.
1 Yellow Foam
Glitter.
1 Milk carton.

cut the carton into half removed the lid part and used the base.
turned upside down, and covered it with the Black construction paper, and cut the yellow foam made small strips and glued it to the Kaaba and then made a door for the Kaaba using the same yellow foam. Used glitter on the door and strips to make them shine.
Let it dry out for the kid to play with it.
Good way to introduce the kid about the Kaaba.

Quran Progress Chart.

There is even a Quran progress chart, i think this could be the best i could find for my child, has all the surah names. so when ever she completes one she is gonna tick it.
Mashallah so nice she loved it.
I have borrowed it from Talibiddeenjr. wonderful place to get all the stuff.

Here is the file scribd.

Certifing your child for Quran

When a child completes learning the surah you can award them with a certificate, what a great idea for a homeschooling parent. I found this file which is so wonderful, it is a great job, and the child will be so happy to receive something which she can treasure.

This can be used by any one not only homeschooling parent but even possibly a school too.

I have taken this from after googling from the following website, Jazakallah khair for it.

Arabic Alphabets.

And the very next hour today me and my daughter sitting idle thinking what to do next, there it goes, she pointed to an Arabic paper and asked me to say what it is, to be frank im not good at it so i thought inshallah why not give her Arabic alphabets book. I know she already knows her alphabets but the activity will ensure she will learn something out of it especially how to write.

We came up using foil for making the Alphabets, i just enjoyed making it, she made all the dots for the alphabets Mashallah. She was eagerly waiting for it to finish but this took such long hours to finish, inbetween she also took a nap. Alhumdillulah Almost 3 hours straight with disturbances in btw.

Used:
  • Poster paper.
  • Glue to stick.
  • Foil sheet.
  • Food wrapper.
  • Ribbon.
  • Construction sheets.
  • Paper to add pages.
  • Tape.
  • Marker.
Here it goes used foil to make the shapes and sticked it with glue to a construction paper to get a colorful background. Cut all the alphabets and sticked them to the paper. Punched holes to the poster page and added pages to it. laminated pages using the food wrapper. sticked the food wrapper with tape.tied all together using ribbon and used marker to write on the lapbook Arabic alphabets.

Alhumdillulah our book is ready. Inshallah i shall cum up with some game for her.
Meanwhile take a look at the pictures below And dont forget to leave comments.

Shapes Lapbook

It was so much fun today as i finished making her shapes lapbook book. This was something easy, nothing for me to think much.
Used:
  • Poster Paper.
  • Foam.
  • Glue to stick.
  • Markers.
  • Ribbon.
I just had to draw and cut the shapes on foam, glued the foam shapes on paper and used color markers to write what shape it is.
Fist thing in the morning me and my daughter started off with it and finally finished in an hours time. Very simple project to work with and kids will love something which is easy and not to sit hours together.

There are many ways for you to make it, i thought of something simple. and i can add in more pages to it later but shall update it, inshallah.

The cover design was done by my daughter.

Seasons,Days of week, Months.

My sister in law has come up with a wall chart for the kids, it means not only mine but also her son.
Mashallah thats so nice, it has got all the seasons, months and weeks for them to learn.

She just used cardboard, to laminate it used food wrap, for the background paper and the details are printed out using google search. Tape to stick the laminate.

Dont you think this is a good way to recycle out stuff.

Ayatul Kursi from youtube.

Iam done teaching my child Ayatul Kursi. The most powerful, It did take lot of time for her to learn, but all the efforts have been paid back. Mashallah my little who is 3 nd half years old is reciting it, and she so happy to read as well. Alhumdillulah.

I shall be truth full, I took the use of youtube. it is wonderful to hear it, if you wanna hear just click on the Orange line (youtube) it should take it to the page i used the video from.
Mashallah this was wonderful.

Bookshelf.

I have everything all over, my daughters papers all her coloring and her books all over in the room, no place for her to organize, im fed up of cleaning it all the time but finally, something stuck in my mind and i came up with this.

Inside there are two racks for her to keep the books and crayons and markers.

On the other side there is a pen and pencil stand for her to keep her pencils and highlighters.

To the other side i have a box hooked to it where in all her coloring pages can be kept instead of messing it again along with her books.

I just had to use a carton(box) for making the main place for her keep the books inside, used a hook to ensure to close the box when she is finished taking her stuff.
For the papers i used a cereal box cut the mouth of it and stacked the papers and a ruler in it.
On to the other side i took a box covered with a doll in abaya for the pen and pencil stand to look good instead of sober.
Even used the foil to cover the whole box, instead if she writes on the box using markers i can wipe off, if i used paper i know it would look so messy.
Thats up-to you, you can use many things in covering the box and to make it look splashy.

And Alhumdillulah this project took for me 3 hours to complete, but still i know you can finish it faster than me.

I had to do this project because we don' t stay at one place keep moving, so me instead of shelling out so much of money in buying a rack for her and throwing while i leave in few months, that will be shear waste.
So Alhumdillulah i got this project on recycled crafts on Google. It is working wonders for me Mashallah.

My Prayer lapbook.

Here is another lapbook i made for my daughter, it is the Prayer book, it includes the 5 compulsory prayers, and along with Rakaat's.
Each explains how many are there consists of 2 pages.
everything in the book is hand done, nothing printed.
It took just 1 hour for us to make, And im not a good artist to make but did soemthing next to impossible for me. Alhumdillulah it went well.

I just used paper to draw and poster paper to make the lapbook and inside i used the construction paper as pages, Used crayons, markers, Glue to stick.

Family chart.

The finally awaited family chart is done, this was something being done since so many days but couldn't get the time to finish it off, But finally its done.

We thought of making a doll house first using the pictures, but later when the doll house was not successful we thought of making a family chart finally which as fruitful.

Making the dolls was borrowed from one of the websites on Google after vigorous search. And the chart was our idea as doll house dint work out. We made the figure using a yellow poster and the clothes and other accessories are with paper. We used markers and crayons to color the clothes and scarf's. just had to draw the scarf design and color it and cut it along and stick it to the poster. that simple. My daughter was waiting for this to be completed and we did it...
She enjoyed holding all the dolls, and coloring them was so much fun. after we finished making the dolls, she tells me where is the purse? Ohhhh... i forgot that so then we finally attached the purse to the dolls.

I know you might be thinking that why there is no face, as we dont draw faces avoided it.
And then i took a foam sheet sticked aluminium foil to it and used the scrapbook accessories to it.
and sticked the dolls one after the other according to My family chart starting with grandparents and later goes off....
Inshallah the photos shall follow.

Here are the photos: i have added my family members.

Teaching Quran

Today we have been to masjid for magrib prayers where my daughter safia stood up for prayer along with everyone. Mashallah she read prayer so loud along with others, and when finishing all the ladies in the room gathered and praised her, where in safia got so scared.

To say she doesnt go to any school, its all homeschool for her, but i use the website www.reciter.org
where in the child will be able to memorize it easily. And inshallah i intend to teach her more.
